A translation and immigration specialist with more than a decade of professional experience
Ms. Oki has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Translation from McGill University. She also has a Graduate Diploma in Canadian Immigration and Citizenship Law from the University of Montreal.
Ms. Oki’s career in translation began in 2008 while she was pursuing her specialized translation degree, working as a Translator for McGill University and then as a Terminologist for a large retail company in one of Montreal’s most prominent translation firms.
After completing her studies, she worked in a fast-paced Montreal translation agency for almost 10 years, first as a Translator and Project Manager, and then as Assistant Director. In these roles, she provided translation and editing services, managed certified translation projects in every language and built a network of qualified and reliable translators all around the world, among many other things.
Ms. Oki then went on to pursue studies in Canadian Immigration Law. She holds the title of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB), with accreditations by the CICC and the MIFI, allowing her to practice in every province and territory in Canada, including Quebec.
Ms. Oki currently works at KPMG LLP in Montreal, Canada as a Senior Immigration Coordinator. She specializes in Quebec Permanent Residence (CSQ and federal applications), Temporary Residence (work permits, LMIAs, CAQs, study permits, visitor records), as well as Canadian Citizenship and inadmissibility matters.
Ms. Oki has since founded MSO Canada, based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
As a Certified Translator who is a member of the OTTIAQ (Quebec’s Professional Order of Translators), she specializes in the certified translation of official documents from French to English.
She offers certified translation and immigration consulting services in both English and French.
